This morning, you helped a handsome and thoughtful husband delight his wife upon her waking; as he surprised her with your yummi-ness melded into these delightful treats. Who knew muffins and doughnuts could be made worthy of consumption all because you were willing to add your spice into these rather mundane food items. Who knew crumble top, cream cheese, glaze, and chocolate could taste so inspiring.
Thank you for delighting a mamma to such an extent that even fits and tears later in the day could not destroy her happy high!

For shining so brightly that you brightened my day. I know, in years past I sometimes thought you were the enemy; I thought you were trying to cook me alive. I believed you had only wanted to deprive me of needed moisture. I felt you only wanted to make me sticky and uncomfortable, merely for fun.

Little did I appreciate how your hot rays actually warm not only my body, but my soul. Your brightness brings a joy unparalleled. Little did I know my own spirit droops low without your welcome relief of light.

Thank you for again dropping by to visit. It was so unexpected...and yet so appreciated! It has been so long since I last saw you. It has been months since I have seen you for any extended period of time. My husband, son, and I have missed you terribly. We miss seeing your bright smiling rays on a daily basis. How glad we are that you popped by to say "Hello."

Please know, you are welcome to stay for an extended period of time...if you like. we wouldn't dare drop an utterance of complaint if you should. Please, don't stay down in the south where no-one appreciates your glow.

Silly Socks,

Thank you for helping this mama not feel so bad about her son's appearance! Thank you for helping his high-waters be "shabby-chic" instead of "shabby-EEK!

Our sweet boy has several pairs of silly socks. Some are from his grandparents in Iceland, some are from holiday celebrations, and some from our new home town. It is fun to have silly socks to keep your feet warm. However, I have discovered a new use for them. They keep the eye from noticing how short one's pants have become. Lil' Monster has been having major growth spurts recently. He is growing right out of his pants. He started at less than the 0 percentile on growth charts when he came home - he's racing to catch up with his peer group.
Although he is growing taller he's still as lean as can be. Longer pants usually means wider waist - which doesn't stay on - so pants that fit with short length it is!
